Hearing the cold voice, both Patrick and Amanda turned to look toward the entrance.
Patrick: "..." This was getting a bit awkward.
There’s nothing more awkward than being overheard talking badly about someone.
Patrick swore silently in his mind, then sneered at the dark-faced Benjamin. "Benjamin, since when did you develop a habit of eavesdropping?"
Benjamin didn’t look at him but instead focused on Amanda. "Amanda, let’s talk."
Patrick glared at him. "Amanda doesn’t have time. She’s on a date with me. If you know what's good for you, get lost."
Amanda: "…" She looked at Patrick, pleading silently with him to keep his mouth clean.
