Amanda shook her head. "I don’t know? When I met my mom, she had already been wandering on the streets for over a year. From what I’ve found, she had been living in a psychiatric hospital. Later, she walked out on her own, surviving by going days without food and sometimes eating what she could on the streets."
Benjamin trembled all over. How could this be? He had always thought that his mother had passed away.
