Sheila sneered, “Miranda, I’ve been helping you all along, trying to get you to marry my uncle. But now you come to kick me when I’m down?”
She hadn’t yet reached that point, so why was Miranda using her like this?
Miranda smiled, “You’ve misunderstood me. I’m not trying to kick you while you're down. Amanda could clearly cure you, but she refused to help. Don’t you want to use someone else to take the blame?”
Miranda smiled, planning to use Sheila, the brainless woman, to get back at Amanda.
If it weren’t for Amanda, her life wouldn’t have become so miserable.
Her eyesight wouldn’t have deteriorated.
Although she had been detoxified, her eyes were now ruined.
