Jeremy stopped in his tracks and glanced at Amanda, impressed by her courage.
Amanda walked up to Benjamin and looked down at him.
Benjamin kept his gaze straight ahead, saying nothing, waiting for her to speak.
“Mr. Schmidt, I have something to take care of today. I might not be back until tonight.”
Benjamin slowly looked up at her. He thought of the news he’d just seen, his brows furrowing slightly as his thin lips parted:
“Fine.”
Amanda was momentarily stunned. She hadn’t expected him to agree so easily.
After Benjamin left, her phone started ringing—it was Cindy calling.
“Cindy.”
“Amanda, the internet’s blowing up with gossip about you seducing Benjamin’s nephew, Barry.
You just got married, haven’t even warmed the bed yet, and you’re already topping the hot search!”
