The Blue Velvet Inn

1585 Words

After driving around for hours Oliver finally gave up pulling into a rundown motel by the name of The Blue Velvet in. The name just screamed heart shaped beds, hot tubs, and shag carpets.  “Room 106 that’s me.” Trinket shook the key happily. “See you two love birds in the morning.”  “Don’t spend it all in one place.” Astra flicked a quarter at him with a playful wink. “Night Trink.” Oliver added.  Grabbing Astra’s hand Oliver led her down the path until they reached a blue door with the number 115. Pulling the key from his pocket and shoved it into the lock. Jiggling the key a few times it took him a few tries before successfully unlocking the door and opening the door.  Walking into the room he wasn’t surprised to find a shag blue carpet on the floor covering every inch of the floor.
