1951 Words
The first two week in haven academy has left no room for fun or given bellina the time to try explore the school environment ,the architectural features alone was a sight to behold and today she was going to sign up for extracurricular classes ,getting out of the black brabus ,the ride to school was quite fun thanks to leilah for getting her driver’s licence ,she couldn’t deal with stoic driver Thomas ,with leilah always trying to mimic his stoic facial expression which he caught on the last time he dropped them at school, she had pressured leilah to convince their overprotective mum to allow them ride to school by themselves. Stepping out,and adjusting her glasses which had fallen to the bridge of her nose ,she tucked the hair that got slightly over her face behind her ear, today she had allowed her hair cascading down her back ,a black bmw stopped right in front of her,Zain, emerges from his sleek black BMW from the other side of the car which gleams in the sunlight. He steps out onto the pavement, his designer shoes making a subtle click on the ground. His expensive watch glints on his wrist as he adjusts his cufflinks. He runs a hand through his perfectly styled hair, his confidence reflecting his privileged upbringing. As he stands tall, his tailored blazer and crisp white shirt accentuate his athletic build. He surveys his surroundings, his gaze sweeping across the familiar grounds of his elite high school. His arrival at school is often met with a mix of admiration and envy from his peers. With a nonchalant air, he strides towards the school entrance, his designer backpack slung casually over his shoulder. His eyes gleam with a sense of entitlement, as if he owns the place. Zain's confident stride and aristocratic demeanor command attention, announcing his arrival , leilah stood right next to belina “so cringe” she remarked,”mmm”bellina replied with a bit of distaste , her first encounter with him at kensigton’s office made her wary of him , he gave off a commanding cold aura,”he’ll look like a CH13 gene if he smiles ”she thought. The twins walked into the school entrance, their curvy features and goddess appearance again turning the heads of the other students . When they got into the hallway to see students chattering about zain, until bel’s eyes fell on zain who had cornered a junior, his eyes looked darker than usual and his raven black hair which was slightly disheveled after running his hands over angrily,”lets get out of here “leilah cringed not feeling the site as she felt a cold shiver down her spine when zain shot a glance . Zain looked at the twins scurrying out of the hallway, tho he weirdly wanted her attention but he never meant it to be this way, since seeing her at the principal’s office those emerald eyes behind the round glasses had held him captive and he was unable to get her off his head As Bellina reached the top of the stairs, Leilah fell into step beside her, the two girls exchanging a conspiratorial smile. They were used to the attention their looks garnered. Zain was determined to get to know this bewitching girl better. She had easily surpassed all the other students in terms of beauty and grace, and Zain found himself irresistibly drawn to her. He had a feeling this was going to be an interesting school year. Over the following weeks, Zain made every effort to cross paths with Bellina, finding excuses to linger in the library or volunteer for group projects just to be near her. But despite his best efforts, he struggled to work up the nerve to actually approach her. There was something about Bellina's ethereal beauty and serene confidence that was simultaneously alluring and intimidating. Bellina, for her part, was largely oblivious to Zain's subtle attempts at wooing her. She was polite and friendly in their fleeting interactions, but her focus remained steadfastly on her studies and extracurricular activities. Unlike many of her peers, Bellina was not interested in the social hierarchies and romantic entanglements that consumed much of the Havens student body. Leilah, however, was well aware of Zain's infatuation with her sister. She couldn't help but find the situation amusing, often teasing Bellina about her "secret admirer" to no avail. "Come on, Bel, you have to have noticed Zain following you around like a lovesick puppy," Leilah said one afternoon as they strolled across the manicured campus. Bellina rolled her eyes. "Zain does not follow me around. He's just...friendly, that's all." Leilah snorted. "Friendly? Bel, that boy has been making goo-goo eyes at you for weeks. I'm pretty sure he's forgotten how to breathe properly every time you walk by." "Leilah, don't be ridiculous," Bellina chided, though a hint of a smile tugged at the corner of her lips. "Zain is the most sought-after boy in this entire school. Why on earth would he be interested in me?" "Because you, my dear sister, beautiful nerd in this entire school," Leilah replied matter-of-factly. "And trust me, Zain has definitely noticed." Bellina shook her head, her curls bouncing. "Whatever you say. I'm just focused on my studies and extracurriculars. Romance is the last thing on my mind right now." Leilah sighed dramatically. "Well, when the day comes that Zain finally works up the courage to sweep you off your feet, don't say I didn't warn you." Meanwhile, Zain was indeed struggling with his growing infatuation. He had never felt this way about a girl before - utterly captivated and yet completely tongue-tied. Bellina's poise, intelligence, and genuine kindness only served to make her even more alluring in his eyes. One afternoon, as Zain was leaving his advanced economics class, he spotted Bellina heading towards the library. Summoning every ounce of courage, he quickened his pace to catch up with her. "Hey, Bellina!" he called out, wincing inwardly at how desperate his voice sounded. Bellina turned, her emerald eyes widening slightly in surprise. "Oh, hello Zain," she replied, her tone polite but not overly warm. "I, uh, I noticed you were heading to the library," Zain began awkwardly. "Would you, um, would you mind if I joined you? I have a research paper I need to work on, and I could use the company." Bellina regarded him for a moment, her expression unreadable. "Of course, that would be nice," she said finally, offering him a small smile. Zain felt a surge of triumph as he fell into step beside her, his heart racing. As they walked, he sneaked furtive glances at Bellina, marveling at the way the afternoon light played across her porcelain skin and gilded her lush curls. Once they reached the library, Bellina led the way to a secluded table in the back, where they could work in relative peace. Zain tried his best to focus on his research, but his eyes kept drifting to Bellina, who was completely absorbed in her own work. After an hour or so, Bellina paused to stretch, her back arching gracefully. Zain watched, transfixed, as a stray curl fell across her forehead. Before he could stop himself, he reached out and gently tucked it behind her ear. Bellina's eyes widened in surprise, and Zain felt his face flush with embarrassment. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..." he stammered, mentally kicking himself. To his relief, Bellina simply smiled. "It's alright, Zain. Thank you." She held his gaze for a moment, a curious expression flickering across her features. Emboldened by her reaction, Zain took a deep breath. "Bellina, I...I've been wanting to talk to you for a while. I know we're not really...well, I mean, we don't know each other that well, but I can't help feeling drawn to you. There's just something about you that's...captivating." Bellina's expression softened, and she tucked a curl behind her ear, a self-conscious gesture that Zain found utterly endearing. "That's very kind of you to say, Zain. But I'm not sure I understand why you feel that way. I'm just...me. Nothing particularly special." Zain shook his head vehemently. "No, that's not true at all. You're...you're unlike anyone else I've ever met. You're so intelligent, and kind, and..." He paused, searching for the right words. "And you have this...this grace and inner strength about you that's just...mesmerizing." Bellina flushed slightly, her emerald eyes lowering to the table. "I...I don't know what to say. I'm flattered, truly, but I'm not sure I'm the kind of person you think I am. I'm just...trying to focus on my studies and make the most of my time here. Romance isn't really a priority for me right now." Zain felt his heart sink, but he tried not to let his disappointment show. "I understand. I don't mean to make you uncomfortable. I just...I wanted you to know how I feel. If you ever change your mind, though, I'd...I'd be honored to take you out sometime." Bellina gave him a small, apologetic smile. "Thank you, Zain. I appreciate your honesty." She paused, then added, "And if you ever need help with your research, I'd be more than happy to assist you." Zain couldn't help but return her smile, feeling a glimmer of hope despite her polite rejection. "I'll keep that in mind. Thank you, Bellina." As they returned to their work, Zain couldn't help but steal occasional glances at the captivating girl beside him. Though she had gently rebuffed his advances, he couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Bellina than met the eye. And he was determined to uncover the mysteries that lay beneath her serene exterior. Over the next few weeks, Zain continued to seek out opportunities to interact with Bellina, though he was careful not to push too hard. He would linger in the library, join her study groups, or volunteer for the same extracurricular activities, always hoping for a chance to talk to her and learn more about the enigmatic girl who had so thoroughly captured his heart. Bellina, for her part, remained polite and friendly, but maintained a careful distance. She seemed genuinely uninterested in the social dynamics and romantic entanglements that consumed so much of the Havens student body. Her focus remained steadfastly on her studies and her various philanthropic pursuits. Leilah, of course, continued to tease her sister mercilessly about her "secret admirer." "Seriously, Bel, you have to at least give the poor guy a chance," Leilah said one day as they walked to their next class. "Zain Ashcroft is practically tripping over himself trying to get your attention." Bellina rolled her eyes. "Leilah, you know I'm not interested in that kind of drama. Zain is a nice guy, but I don't have time for romance. I have too many other important things to focus on." Leilah sighed dramatically. "You know, Bel, sometimes it's okay to just have a little fun and enjoy yourself. Not everything has to be about philanthropy and academic excellence, you know." Bellina chuckled. "I appreciate your concern, Leilah, but I'm perfectly content as I am. I don't need a boyfriend to validate my self-worth or make me happy." "Alright, alright, I get it," Leilah conceded, throwing up her hands in defeat. "But just remember, when Zain finally works up the courage to sweep you off your feet, don't say I didn't warn you." Bellina simply shook her head and smiled, knowing her sister was only looking out for her. But deep down, a part of her couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to be the object of Zain affection. After all, even she could admit that he was undeniably handsome.
