The workaholic in Liam disappeared. He let territory affairs go untouched and spent every day at the hospital beside me. I had once loved the bone broth he made. He lifted it carefully out of the thermal container and held the bowl in front of me. "Mia, try a little..." "Will you get out?" I didn't move. I only looked at him with open disgust. His throat worked, and he forced a smile, his voice turning more coaxing. "The doctor said broth would be good for you. You used to love this. Just a little, please."
