The arena guards pull Reggie away, not realising what he was actually doing. They think he is stuck in some kind of rage. The Tallerman is a tall half-giant, who calms down the crowd with an orgy by some performers. A gorgon female with several males who she will devour while she's having s*x with them. This is a popular distraction amongst many arena owners.
"You? Who the hell are you?" The Tallerman is in the back room in a flash. Where the guards deposited Reggie like a rag doll. By all accounts, Reggie was supposed to lose. The Tallerman is massive and his arm put the literal squeeze on Reggie.
"Pay me my life belongs to the Turag king." The Tallerman drops him, Reggie, immediately. They know the Turag King across several outer worlds and is the host of the Grand Games. The Tallerman brings out a treasure trove of gold coins and items. Including a gem that shouldn't be here.
"I see you have a good eye. This is a real Casting Core!" Tallerman even lets its energies dance around Reggie. Reggie takes a gulp involuntarily. He wants it because it is one of the rarest pieces to find to build his soul container or even a mana engine, his mind floods with all the things he could do with such an item, especially the various kinds of soul forges.
"It's not complete. I'm no fool. How would I even get the other pieces, let alone a mystic rod?" On a quick count, Reggie can think of at least five items that he would need to change the casting core into a meaningful container for his magic power. Making a soul stone is something most magicians can do, but a Soul Sanctum isn't.
"Okay, then you keep one hundred gold and I give you an upgrade script." Upgrade scripts are like road maps that tell a person exactly how to upgrade an item. But these are very long-winded and will have to visit several outer worlds. The problem is that this script is for a Casting core, not a soul Sanctum or even a doubling diamond.
Reggie has to really think about it. It would be better in the long run. A casting cores benefit is that it can grow over time. Plus when he gets his class, the casting core will align with his abilities. The only real downside is how much time it takes to get to a use full point. The subclass will be a breeze, and then all he has to do is go to the rainbow palace.
"I also want one of every kind of Elemental stone you got." The Tallerman doesn't really have a choice, the bet is too big and the Turag king doesn't like owners who can't pay. Tallerman brings out his prized element stones plus three common ones and the hundred gold coins.
"Here, take this to the observatory and get yourself a f*****g class." Reggie takes the token, he doesn't need it but it will sell well. When he gets back home, especially since the auction house will be open. The god-tier hunters brought with them enough goods to remake the world. One of them is the auction house that appears in every capital city on earth.
They facilitate Hunter commerce and use the structural magic to overcome the logistical challenge. Auctions are also how new hunters can sell items to one another without a firm or having their identity revealed. The god Tier Hunters couldn't agree on a single firm, or how to operate, so they are building many facilities to help them grow their own firm as each of them sees fit.
Reggie looks at the upgrade script. He was exactly right, but at least he knows where most of the upgrade zones are and lucky for him. Glimys' shop is along the way to get his class.

Reggie rushes to Gimlys' store, weaving around people, his plans making room for the casting core. His path is getting brighter and he can almost chart a way to god tier.
Gimly is an irritating imp with a sharp set of teeth. "Comes in." He flies over the hand-sized imp buzzing around Reggie. His shop is massive, with rows and rows of trinkets. Reggie knows imps are as greedy as goblins and sharp as elves.
"I'm looking for a magic mask and willing to pay well for it." Reggie throws out a gold coin. The magic mask is only worth about three, but Reggie wants it for less. The Imp grabs the coin. Gold is like catnip to them as the euphoria fills the little guy. He buzzes around his shop looking for a magic mask.
The Imp destroys a few shelves in the back, and on his way back, with the coin-sized mask in his hand. Reggie smiles. The imp isn't trying to trick him. The magic mask fits into the Casting core, many hunters make the simple mistake of taking the name of the item to give hints about the item. Sometimes the name has nothing to do with it. Reggie gives the imp another gold coin, sending him over the edge. He is so caught up in his euphoria that he doesn't see Reggie hiding in amongst the shelves.
Reggie goes around the corner, the imp will look for him soon but it will never think of its own shop as a hiding spot. Reggie works on each of the stones. He needs all his elements active. To his luck, the earth, wind and fire stones are perfect, not even a blemish. This means Tallerman took them from high-quality monsters.
Getting skills to go with all his elements will take several years, but at least he also got the gravity and death elemental. These two will need their twins to work properly. Reggie can find time and life elemental stone in the palace.
This leaves him only light, dark and Ice elements. These common elements should be with the Merchant. She is a beguiling and deadly woman who only takes payment in raw herbs. she is also the most talented elixirist in several generations. Reggie can only think of one item that will tempt her. Her advanced magic potion will become one of the most popular items she will ever sell. Any magician worth their salt won't go to battle without one.
Reggie heads to the only place he might get the flowers he is looking for. Of course, he can't just hand her back her recipe, but at least he can help by collecting these. The nice thing about the Tallerman is he let Reggie keep the sword. The palace gardens of the moon are always basking in the artificial light of three moons. It is said they represent the first Triumvirate that ruled over the city.
Inside the garden are all kinds of flesh-eating fairies, albino tigers, but most importantly, it has many flowers, roots and herbs. Reggie fights his way through with his earth element active. He can fight without damaging the gardens. Earth magic is extremely powerful and he can always scare a few monsters with fire.
He has to spend hours at a time collecting the flowers he needs. They are all producing powerful aromas, however, without a specific analysing skill, he can only keep picking and hoping. The bouquet has people whispering about adolescent love.
The merchant Jacosata leaps up, snatching the bouquet from Reggie. She is happy to receive a new batch of fresh herbs to experiment with. Plus, she can pot them, meaning that she can grow them. Most pickers leave the roots behind. Jacosata is too busy to pick them herself and the workload is too intense for her apprentice. She works carefully. This boy brought her a large amount of great herbs. She, four of them in particular, pique her interest.
She hopes this picker comes back often so she feels has to entice him, she brings out several wooden blades, she can see the magic power around him and this is the perfect tool for a magician. Wooden blades are light and versatile and as durable as Elvin short swords. She has prepared a special ebony wand core for this one. "I hope you can accept this as a gift and please don't be shy to name your price."
Reggie isn't sure if she will really pay his price is rather absorbent, but he is so close to activating all his elements. "I'm trying to become the best magician in the world. I know what I am asking is difficult but if I can get these, I promise there is nothing I won't pay." Reggie is sincere and crosses his index and middle finger, also known as a witch's promise which can never be broken.
Jacosta recovers quickly from the shock of the list, she doesn't believe he wasn't sent here as a thief. Not many people know she can grow light element stones. She struggles for a few minutes if this ever got, out she will be, ruined but the witches' promise settles that.
"Alright but I also have some demands..." Jacosata and Reggie go to her personal observatory...
[Authornote - Tallerman is both his race and his name. His mother forgot his name and has always called him Tallerman since.]
