Joy's hands trembled as she rushed back to her rented basement, her mind replaying the library encounter. Why did Jayden Stewart seem to be everywhere she went? She couldn't shake the feeling that he was indeed stalking her.
As she locked the door behind her, Joy's phone buzzed. Stelyn's name flashed on the screen.
"Hey, girl, what's going on?" Stelyn asked, concern etched in her voice.
Joy sighed, recounting the library incident. "I don't know what his problem is, but I'm not interested."
Stelyn's tone turned thoughtful. "Maybe he's not stalking you, Joy. Maybe he's just...interested."
Joy snorted. "Interested? Please. He's got 'entitled rich kid' written all over him."
Meanwhile, Jayden sat in his penthouse, staring at his laptop screen. He couldn't concentrate on his mathematical science coursework, his thoughts consumed by Joy Walker.
"What's her problem?" Jayden wondered aloud.
Mike, his friend and roommate, chuckled. "Dude, you're used to getting what you want. Maybe she's not impressed."
Jayden scowled. "I'm not trying to impress her; I just want to talk to her."
Smith, another friend, nodded. "You need to show her you're more than just a rich kid, Jayden."
As the friends discussed strategies, Jayden realized he needed to prove himself to Joy. But how?
The next day, Joy walked into her Media Studies lecture, relieved to find Stelyn and Ella already seated.
"Hey, girls," Joy whispered, taking her seat.
Stelyn grinned mischievously. "Guess who's sitting behind us?"
Joy's heart sank. "Who?"
Stelyn nodded toward the back of the lecture hall. Jayden Stewart leaned against the wall, his piercing blue eyes fixed on Joy.
Joy's instincts screamed warning. This was getting out of hand.

Joy's eyes locked onto Jayden's, her expression a mixture of annoyance and wariness. She swiftly turned back to Stelyn and Ella, whispering, "What is he doing here?"
Stelyn shrugged. "Maybe he's actually interested in media studies."
Ella chuckled. "Or maybe he's just interested in you."
Joy's face flushed, and she quickly glanced away, focusing on the lecturer.
As the lecture progressed, Joy sensed Jayden's gaze lingering on her. She refused to acknowledge him, fearing it might encourage his supposed stalking.
After the lecture, Joy hastened her exit, but Jayden caught up to her.
"Hey, Joy, can I talk to you for a minute?" Jayden asked, his tone polite.
Joy's instincts screamed warning, but she paused, curious. "What do you want?"
Jayden held up his hands in a calming gesture. "I swear, I'm not stalking you. I just...I want to get to know you."
Joy raised an eyebrow. "Why?"
Jayden's smile faltered, revealing a glimmer of vulnerability. "Because you're different. You don't care about my family's name or my wealth. You see me."
Joy's resolve softened, but she quickly reinforced her defenses. "I'm not interested."
As Joy turned to leave, Jayden called out, "Wait!"
She spun back, her eyes flashing. "What?"
Jayden hesitated before pulling out a piece of paper from his pocket. "My number. In case you change your mind."
Joy snatched the paper, her intention to discard it, but her fingers lingered on the crumpled note.
Stelyn and Ella approached, concern etched on their faces. "Hey, Joy, everything okay?"
Joy nodded, tucking the note into her pocket. "Yeah, I'm fine."
As they walked away, Ella whispered, "You're not really considering him, are you?"
Joy's expression turned thoughtful. "I don't know...Maybe."
Stelyn's eyes widened. "Joy, be careful. We don't know him."
But Joy's thoughts lingered on Jayden's words: "You see me."
