I could see the tension rising, and I stepped closer, ready to intervene if things got out of hand.
Ace’s jaw clenched, his hands balling into fists. “This has nothing to do with Ariana. This is about you, Lucian. You’re a snake, and everyone knows it.”
Lucian’s smile widened. “Oh, come on, Ace. Are you still mad because I stole Ariana from you? It’s not my fault she preferred me.”
Astra’s eyes widened in realization, understanding the history between the two men. She stepped forward, trying to calm the situation. “Ace, let’s just go. This isn’t worth it.”
But Ace was having none of it. “No, Astra. He needs to understand that he can’t just do whatever he wants. You’re not his to toy with.”
