“Hello,” I said to the strange man as he smiled at me.
“You look beautiful,” he said.
I shrugged. “I get that a lot.”
I didn’t like how his eyes drank me over like he was assessing a piece of meat.
When he was done, he extended his hand.
“I am the youngest elder of the pack,” he said as I shook his hand. “And I’ve not seen you around before.”
