As the car sped along the highway, I leaned back in my seat, trying to shake off the unsettling encounter with Lucian.

I was so mad I was sure if he was before me I would rip out his throat for the stupid actions he has tried to take.
The road stretched ahead, a seemingly endless ribbon of asphalt, lined by dense forests on either side.
My phone rang, its shrill tone cutting through the quiet of the car. I picked it up, seeing Raven's name on the screen.
