Ace’s POV
I was seething with anger. Every word Astra had relayed about Lucian’s attack burned through me like acid.
I couldn’t believe the lengths he had gone to, and the fact that he had put her in such danger was unforgivable.
My fists were clenched as I stormed out of the study, the walls of the palace seeming to close in on me.
“Ace! Wait!” Astra’s voice called from behind me.
I ignored her, my mind focused solely on the need for revenge.
I had already decided that Lucian would pay for what he had done, and nothing was going to stop me.
My vision was a blur of rage, and I barely registered Astra’s footsteps as she ran to catch up with me.
