Astra’s POV
There were still so many things we didn’t know in the world, so much that we didn’t know. But in that hospital room, with Raven and the baby, everything felt right.
Ace was waiting for me outside, his expression softening as he saw me. “How’s she doing?” he asked quietly.
“She’s okay,” I said, my voice gentle. “She’s strong. And she’s going to be an amazing mom.”
Ace nodded, a small smile tugging at his lips as I saw Roman answering his phone a few feet away from us.
I thought of everything Raven had told me but decided to leave it all. I would handle Ace my way and make sure he knows that whatever he wanted from me he would get. But he needed to trust me.
