But I was disappointed when the alpha didn’t care about my complaints at all.
In fact, I might as well be talking to a wall because this hunk of a man didn’t care about any of my words one bit.
The alpha's expression remained stoic, his voice firm. "You are a woman, Emilia. I chose you to train her precisely because I believed you would be able to handle any challenges that arose. If you cannot fulfill your duty, there will be consequences."
My anger flared, a surge of defiance coursing through my veins. How dare he threaten me? I had served this pack faithfully for years, and now he was dismissing my frustrations as if they were inconsequential because of some random broad?!
