17. No Longer A Doormat I

[Day 3, Dec. 22 – The Ophelia Cruise Ship] ~Octavia~ It didn't take me ten minutes to reach the fifteenth deck where Lila and Craig’s cabin was tucked away. I barely had time to catch my breath before I barged into their cabin. Lila didn’t even flinch. She was sitting cross-legged on the bed, scrolling through her phone. The moment she saw my expression, she dropped it, her eyes narrowing in concern. “Octavia, what’s wrong?” she asked, her voice sharp with worry. I collapsed into the nearest chair, hissing loudly. “I’m gonna deal with everyone!” Lila and Craig's jaws hit the floor in an instant. They scrambled to their feet, eyes wide, as if I had just announced I was about to take down the entire ship. Lila burst into laughter, a sound so loud it almost echoed through the cabin.
