[Day 4, Dec. 23 – The Ophelia Cruise Ship] Dave Carter The Moonlit Cove Lounge was a secluded corner of the ship, tucked away from the main decks and bustling crowds. Dim, golden lighting spilled a warm glow over the intimate space, while floor-to-ceiling windows offered an uninterrupted view of the ocean. The waves shimmered under the moonlight, the gentle rocking of the ship adding to the room’s ambiance. Couples murmured softly over glasses of wine, their voices blending with the soft hum of Christmas jazz. I stepped inside, the soft slap of my flip-flops against the polished floor a perfect blend with the room’s muted elegance. My chest felt tight with anticipation, my hands clenching and unclenching as I scanned the space. Nathan wouldn’t expect me. He was waiting for Octavia.
