Chapter 8 (Sara’s P.O.V.)
*Air-horn*
I woke up and grabbed the Air-horn that was next to my ear and threw it towards the wall. I looked at Tristan with a glare.
* CRASH *
I flinched and looked towards the wall. Well, looks like I threw it at a window instead of the wall. "s**t! That was your fault, Tristan." I said to her. "No, it wasn't. That was your fault. You’re the one that threw it. I called you at least a thousand times and you never answered. I even screamed and you didn't stir. It was either that or water. What would you have picked?" she said. I agreed with her, "Yeah I would have gone with the air-horn instead of the water. I don't like having water splashed on me. I'm sorry." "Yeah, whatever. Look we must leave now so we can look around Andy's house and leave a note. We also have to go cloths shopping! So come on!" she said. I looked at her like she was crazy and went to get dressed. When I got down Tristan was heading out the door. I yelled for her to wait, and I ran to her. We went to my car and drove to the targets house first. I sneaked in and stuck a note on his bedroom door. If you are wondering why I had to be careful even though it's during the day, that's because since he is a vamp he sleeps at night. I have a special plant that covers my scent, so he won’t be able to track me down and try to kill me. I got in the car and a few miles away Tristan asked me “What did you write?" "Well, I wrote that you have till Friday to live so use your time left wisely. Then I signed off as your killers. Haha." I replied. She rolled her eyes and told me to go to bells. This woman dragged me around the whole store and had to try everything in her size on. When she found the pants and had me try them on along with T-shirts and jackets. I needed a new jacket anyway. It’s About 4 weeks till November and that's when my birthday is. Though I don't really celebrate it anymore it's getting cold out and I usually spend that day in the woods with Tristan. It will be the same as it is every year. I mean she might get a cake now and then but usually we just sleep in the woods that night and come back the next day. I expect it will be the same this year again. I'll be 16 then. We got home and I went back to the couch. That's basically what happened for the next few days. We looked around, went to the store and when we got back, I read the books. When it started getting dark, we left to look around again and we trailed him. I left notes everywhere he would go, and he could see that he thought it was a prank. He couldn't help but be cautious. He was like that for the next couple of days. The day of the mission I said "Today is the day that his life ends. I can't wait to get this mission done. Then we can get ice cream to celebrate!" "Yeah, I just want to get it over with so we can have the vacation part already. I'm excited. " Tristan said. I said "Well let’s get going. We must be there soon. You got the plans?“ “Yeah, I got them. Are you changed yet?" She spoke. "Yeah, I’ll there in a sec." I replied to her. I was putting on the rest of the uniform. Apparently at their HQ they wear a uniform. I hate uniforms so when I found out I wanted to burn it up. I did the first three, but I had to use the last one for the mission. After I am gonna burn it. I walked out to the living room and waited for Tristan to get done. When she came out, she had the uniform on wrong and looked a mess. I helped her out and she said, "You know, for someone that doesn't like uniforms you sure know how to wear them." I just shrugged and walked out of the house. We got into the car and made sure that we had everything. About 45 minutes later we arrived and headed towards the building. It was about a two mile walk so it took a little bit to get there. We can't park next to the building because they would know that we are there before we can get inside. I looked at her and signaled for her to follow me around back. When we got to the back, I signaled for her to use the key card so she can open the back hatch. The hatch leads to the second basement floor so we will climb up one floor at a time. It’s also a good thing because the weapons are stored on the second and first basement floor. She slid the card in, and the door opened. We walked into an elevator, and I pressed the lowest button. When the door opened, I made sure the coast was clear before moving out. I went straight to the guns and picked out a pistol. Tristan picked a shotgun and we loaded them up. "They have a tracking devise placed in them so after we use them, we have to leave them. Once we are done, we must get out here fast. Alright?" I said. She said, "Yeah. Don't worry nothing will happen to us so we just need to focus on the mission. Then we have two weeks’ vacation. We can do whatever you want when we get back and this coming week. The next one I decide Alright." "Alright." I replied to her. I know what I want to do when we get back. I just hope nothing happens during this mission. Tristan is like a sister to me, and I feel very protective of her. If something happened, I don't know what I would do. I don't like to get close to people and she is the only person that I let get close. I can't lose her. I snapped out of my thoughts when Tristan snapped her fingers in front of my face. I shook my head and walked to the elevator again. When Tristan got in, I pushed the top floor button and the door closed. I hid my gun in an easily accessible place so all I needed to do was take it out and pull the trigger. When we reached the top floor, I made sure that the disguise was working. I looked at Tristan and asked her with a look. She nodded and we moved out. I signaled to her with my hands for her to go left while I go right. We circled and entered the meeting room at the same time from opposite sides. The whole room looked at us and our target nodded in greeting. I nodded as well and so did Tristan. We took our seats at the table and the meeting began. I was surprised because the meeting lasted 5 minutes. But in those 5 minutes we know what their next move is and when it is. That's info we can take back to Bryan. After a minute the rest left leaving the target by himself besides us there. he spoke up and asked, "Hey Ben, Garrett, I thought that you guys were out today?" "Well, we're not them." We said together and took our weapons out. Tristan shot him in the chest, and I got his head. I got up close and shot him between the eyes. After I made sure he was dead, I looked at Tristan and I moved the ceiling panel to look like someone when up through there. Everyone came in the room all at once and looked at us. I pointed towards the panel and started to climb up. Everyone followed us and after 30 minutes they gave up. When everyone was heading back, we staled and ran to our car. I got in the truck, and we started getting out of our disguise. We sat there for 30 minutes just making sure that we weren't followed. After I was sure, I started the engine and started driving home. I didn't talk until I made a sudden U-turn. Tristan looked at me and said "What the hell Alex. Why did you turn around?" "Well, I don't know about you, but I am not going home without ice cream to last us two weeks. How about you?" I looked at her with a smirk. She just looked at me with relief and nodded. For as long as I can remember she always felt a little weird after killing someone. She always said that if she was upset, she would eat something sweet. Now and again, I would get her a candy-bar or some type of pop-icicle. I don't know why it happens but that's just how she is. I pulled into a Save-a-lot. While we were there, I sent her to get whatever ice cream she wanted while I get some chips, dip, and a ton of drinks. I also got some sprinkles and waffle cones. By the time we got to the register the buggy was stacked sky high. The cashier lady looked at us and just stared at the cart. About 20 minutes later we went to the car and loaded it up. It took forever and by the time we got home it was 9:30 pm. I drove us home and did what I did before to put the groceries away. After we went inside, I told Tristan to go in the shower while I put the groceries away. I decided I was gonna ask her when she got out if she was ready. I waited for her in the living room for when she got done.
