Emma clearly thought the guy was after her as well. So was it him that was shot in the street last night? If so, why? Did Emma have a protector? No, that was ridiculous. I was reaching for stupid ideas now. I was pretty sure the dead man would be connected to Brendan somehow, or Scottie. It still rankled that Connor had never been able to get any evidence to put Scottie away.
I thought Swan and the rest of them were wrong. It was a horrible coincidence, and the two crimes had nothing to do with each other. Which meant it still wasn’t safe for Emma to come back here.
