I put Swan’s call on speaker and signalled to Andre to keep quiet.
‘Are you in Melbourne?’ Swan asked. I said I was. ‘Emma has been in contact with her father. She’s flying over to Christchurch tomorrow.’

‘She’s scared. Really scared.’ Swan huffed a breath. ‘Can you come and talk to her? I think we’ve got one chance to find out the real truth here. We can’t force her to stay. We don’t have enough evidence yet to arrest Solomon for her mother’s murder either.’
