Chapter Five

1069 Words
I am staring at my wallet. I am running out of money. I think I spend a lot on partying almost every night, but that won't stop me from partying again tonight. I feel devastated and sad, so I need this. I am wearing a tight leather skirt and a tube top. I will wear my boots and curl my hair. I put a little make-up on to hide my paleness. I don't have an appetite these days. I don't know, I just don't feel like eating. I prefer drinking liquor. I locked my door and went to the bar where my friends were. "Hey, Nami! Look at that hot gentleman on the second floor," Leanne whispered in my ear. I didn't look at the man she was pointing at because I didn't care. A man is not my type. Leanne, here is my ex and first girlfriend. We were together for four months, then she met her long-time boyfriend now. Yeah, she ended up with a man and kept our friendship. Odd, right? Befriending your ex is quite a hard thing to do, but seeing her happy with him makes me happy for her too. I'm over her. I had another relationship after that, but it didn't work out. That girl also finds her man. Yeah, all my exes are now straight and whipped. Yeah, they chose a man over me. It hurts, but that's life. "How's your job hunting?" Lacey asked me. "Still jobless. Companies want someone with lots of experience and I don't have any, so I am not even an option for them. Crap those companies and this life." I take the shot that Leanne is giving me. My other friends commented, "Sucks to be you." Yeah, it sucks when you are not good at anything. It sucks when nobody understands you, when nobody is there to listen to and hold you, when you’re about to have your breakdown. It f*****g sucks. "Would you like to work for me?" Dean suddenly came out of nowhere. I rolled my eyes. "No thanks. I said. "I'd rather be jobless than work for you." I know it's hurtful, but I just can't be nice to him. That guy has had a huge crush on me since, I don't remember when. He is doing lots of stalking and other creepy stuff. "That hurts, beautiful." I saw him hold his chest and act like I stabbed him there. He's not a good actor, and it's not entertaining. "Whatever," I said, as I took another shot. My friends laugh at him. He is consistent, though. Ever since he told me he liked me, he has never stopped going after me. I somewhat felt bad that I couldn't return his affection. I hope he finds someone better than I am. I spent the whole night drinking. I didn't dance on the dance floor because I was not in the mood. "Girl, the handsome man is still there. Nami, I think he is looking at you. " Lacey is giggling as she tries to make me look up. I refuse to do so. "Let him be. I don't give a fuck." Lacey pouts and looks so disappointed in me. My friends always wanted me to try having a relationship with a guy. They keep on insisting that it is way better, but I bet not. Men are a pain in the ass. Lacey shuts up for a while, but after a while she's back to bugging me again. Gosh. "Hey, I've never seen someone as handsome as he is. He keeps on looking at you." She whispered to me. "Let him stare. I don't really care. " I take shots in a row. I want to get drunk and be wasted, but the drinks don’t have any effect on me. "Gosh, he is now staring at you." Lacey is squealing now. But she's not lying, though. From where I am sitting, I can feel that someone is eminently staring at me. Geez, it's giving me goosebumps. I'm trying to ignore him, but there is some sort of string that makes me look up at him. I decided to take a look, and I met his eyes. Primo's emerald green eyes. I am in shock, but I managed not to look so obvious. He is holding a glass of what I assume is whisky. I quickly avoided his eyes. "Yieee, curious cat. What do you think? He's handsome, right? " Lacey bumps my shoulder, teasing me. I didn't know she was waiting for me to look up. Another nosy human being. "He is." I truthfully said. He is so handsome, and I'm not going to lie about that. But still not my type. "I bet he's going to ask for your number before the night ends." I rolled my eyes at the weird idea. He is my freaking babysitter. I really wanted to laugh. "That won't happen. He is not into me. He is my brother’s friend, and maybe he was just asked to look after me. "Those stupid shits," I said, widening his eyes. "You personally know him? Oh my gosh. Can you introduce me to him instead?" she put her hands together in prayer as she pleaded. "Nope, I don't like talking to him. You can approach him if you want. Just don't involve me, "I answered, and she pouted. This girl is a bit childish and sweet. "Okay, I'll approach him later then," she said, taking her glass shot. When we finally decided to end the day, it was already fifteen minutes past three. I am a bit tipsy but not that drunk, unlike Lacey and Leanne, who can't even stand. It's a good thing they have their knight in shining armor with them. I help them with their girlfriends and walk to the street to look for a cab. I was standing there waiting for a taxi driver to save my night when a black Porsche stopped in front of me. The car's window was rolled down, revealing my stalker, I mean my babysitter. "Hop in," he ordered. I didn't think twice and got into his car. This is better and safer than riding a taxi. I buckled my seatbelt. "I didn't expect to stay up all night simply to wait for you to look at me." Wow. So he's been waiting all night for me to glance at him?
