In the end, Anderson allowed both Nick and Trevor to enter the interrogation room with her while he watched from outside. Kira didn’t know whether she was happy about his decision or not.
The man seated behind the table looked up as the three of them walked in. His hands stilled as he stopped toying with his thumbnail. Kira found her gaze drawn to his empty wrists. He hadn’t been charged with anything yet, so he wasn’t wearing handcuffs.
She mentally shook her head. The guy had saved her life. Why would he want to harm her? Besides, it wasn’t like she couldn’t take care of herself if things turned ugly.
Or at least that would have been true before the accident.
Maybe it wasn’t such a bad idea to have both Nick and Trevor with her after all…
