"I have a new job!"
Ms. Karen bumped in on Ms. Candice at the staff room that morning when they were on teabreak.
Candice put her phone away and looked up at her friend through the glasses and smiled,
"Mrs. Gilbert gave you the job?"
"Yes! You're now looking at a woman working two jobs!" Karen bragged. "All thanks to you!"
Ms. Candice was a little surprised that Nina had given the job to her friend that fast. When they had last talked, she sounded skeptical about it. Like she was scared of giving the job to Karen. But she was glad Karen had finally gotten the job!
"I'm happy for you!"
Karen giggled. "I'm happy for myself!"
"Oh please!" Candice rolled her eyes. "Let's go grab some coffee!"
"I wish it was champagne instead! To celebrate my new job you know!"
