Det. Darren and Det. Megan sauntered into Lieut. Barnes' office that morning. They had asked to see him and he hoped that it was good news about the case.
"I hope this is really good news!" Lieut. Barnes rubbed his hands in glee.
"We have both good news and bad news!"
"Start with the bad!"
"Tyler McCain, the town's serial killer, has been alive for about ten years now."
"What!"
"But the good news is, we have him. He confessed to all the murders and gave us the mastermind. It's Miranda Ripper."
"Richard's ex-wife."
"Yes, Richard's ex-wife."
"But, why?"
"She's still bitter about the suicide of her daughter. She's killing the kids of the ones she thinks are responsible."
"Is Tyler her accomplice?"
"No. Infact, Miranda has been trying to kill Tyler."
