I wipe the condensation from the mirror in my bathroom and stare at myself. I’ve changed, yet I still look the same.

I tied my hair in a low ponytail and chopped it off before my shower. It was matted and too long. It’s still longish, cut into my neck. I’m no hairdresser and will need to get it fixed professionally, but I didn’t do a terrible job. I managed to get the tangles out, which was a miracle.
I don’t know how long I stood in that shower, scrubbing my hair and body, watching the dirt fall from my body and down the drain until the water ran clear, but I needed it. I really was filthy!
I didn’t grow much facial hair while I was feral. And by that, I mean my beard wasn’t super long. I cut it with scissors and then used my electric razor to cut the rest ba
