“I’m so sorry, Harlow.” Grace mumbles as Harlow buries her face in my chest.
I shake my head at Grace while stroking the back of Harlow’s head. “I’ll speak to your dad. He’ll be able to break the spell.”
Grace sighs. “Triton can’t break the spell because he’s gagged, AJ. Triton knows about it, but he can’t speak a word or break the spell. I’m sorry.”
I grit my teeth. I understand that Grace only did what Harlow asked of her. But she shouldn’t have done it. Grace is a child, but she should have spoken to Poseidon about what Harlow asked her to do, not take matters into her own hands!
“You’re sure there’s no way to break the spell?”
Grace shrugs. “I don’t know, AJ.”
“What about Poseidon?” I ask. “Can he not break the spell?”
