Intense, all encompassing warmth
That was the first thing I felt when my consciousness drifted back to my still tired body. My eyes fluttered and at that moment, I felt a soft, comforting hand wrapped tightly around my waist, pulling me closer in a soft, but firm grip.
I didn’t even need to think to realize who it was, and as the thought of being so close to my mate flickered across my mind, I opened my eyes and smiled up at him.
