Cassian watched as Sylvia’s entire body trembled as she spoke, the words spilled out of her like an unsealed tap. Her breath hitched, her hands shook, and her eyes glistened with the look that he now associated with fear and vulnerability.
This was the look he had been waiting to see from the very moment he had met Sylvia.
Right now, he was only sure of which emotion affected her the most. It wasn’t the shock or confusion though, it was the betrayal.
All because Lily had told Sylvia about werewolves.
Yeah, it only took Cassian a couple of minutes of listening to Sylvia speak in hypotheticals to realize what had happened.
