Lily’s POV:
I woke up slowly, as I usually did. But this time, it was different.
I woke up as though my body itself was refusing to shift from its own position, as though I was about to break apart a beautiful image that should not be touched in any way.
Warmth surrounded me, not from the blanket or silk sheets beneath me, but from the warm large body of the man I loved lying beside me.
For a few seconds, I laid there, not breathing, or even blinking. I didn’t want this to end, and it felt like doing anything else at that moment was going to end it.
