I blinked, too stunned to answer. “Oh my god.” Sylvia gasped, her voice loud enough that I was sure everyone in the shopping center had heard her. Heads turned to face us and some humans actually stopped whatever they were doing just to stare wildly at us. My cheeks flared red-hot. I didn’t have a mirror, but I was pretty sure the heat had spread to my ears. But Sylvia didn’t care. Her mouth was still open, her brows furrowed as she searched my face for answers. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, she gasped, “You did sleep with him, Lily!” I groaned, then, stretched out my hand and grabbed her arms, “Keep your tone down,” I hissed, blushing as I avoided the interested gazes of the shoppers who were still staring at us, “Can you not scream it across the entire center?”
