Chapter |34|

1990 Words

K N O X ' S P. O. V I wake up to the sound of a fist pounding against my door. My traditional Scottish folk music is still blaring out of the speaker besides my bed. It only adds to the raging headache that is currently destroying my will to live so I reach over to switch it off. I f*****g hate the s**t but my neighbour hates it more, and there's nothing I want more than to ruin his f*****g day. The knocking grows louder. Groaning, I force myself out of bed, struggling to stand steady as the world feels as though it's tilting on its axis. I swallow down the urge to vomit. Last night's meal consisted of whiskey and lollipops, no cigarettes which I'm oddly proud of. I guess even though I lost the only person that ever made me feel whole, I still want to uphold my promise to Demetri.
