Kenji's PoV
I stared at the groveling man before me, rolling my eyes at the sight of his pathetic attempts to crawl over to where I was perched. Wrath's playground boomed in the background, the music shielded by the sound proof barriers erected all around my office.
It was both to keep the noise out and whatever was happening in.
"Please, Sir! They threatened my family! There was nothing I could do but tell them what they needed to know about Division Six."
He had been at the top of my organization, a man responsible for the safety and security of the weapon's warehouse that contained many of our imported shipments. It was a big blow, indeed, from the Vipers but nothing they did would ever be able to take down our organization. We beheld a dominance beyond anyone's wildest dreams.
And they know that so they're struggling to find a way in. They know nothing of Wrath's determination and ruthlessness. They only see the surface...
"You made your bed, Fabi. You chose to fear them more than you fear us. A mistake that we intend to rectify as we remind each and every single one of the people around us exactly why we are who we are."
I stated, earning a loud cry from the man on the floor. My men bristled with nervousness, neither one of them speaking up. It was somewhat hard, though, when two of my brothers were seated silently in the corner, watching the events unfold. Christian said nothing, his eyes fixated on his laptop where he tapped away.
It was a wonder he could concentrate in such an environment but then again, bloodshed and death had surrounded each and every single one of us since the moment we were born. It is exactly what made us embody our Sins. A Sin that was now in true effect as I glared down at the man before me.
"Who thought you would be such a snivelling little b***h, Fabi? You are definitely not worthy to stand with us. There should be no fear in your veins, only acceptance when death comes for you and it has, Fabi. Remember what I did to your friends? How I sawed off their limbs, put them back together in different angles? You're going to be next project. Frankenstein number 41."
Diesel declared, his breath fanning Fabi's neck which made the man struggle to get away despite his bound limbs.
"Jesus christ, D. You're as f*****g deranged as ever."
Christian muttered from his position, never once looking up to capture the manic grin that the Sin of Greed granted the sobbing man before him. Although his methods were one to make many stomachs queasy, they produced results. He had rooted all of them out. The rats who were staining our organization with their incompetence and their betrayal.
None of them would survive, each having chosen their side. We would eliminate them all before beginning afresh. And that included taking down each and every single one of the dissidents who dared question our dominance. Our power. One that had been hard earned.
"The only reason why you still draw breath is because you have information for us. Speak now or I will release you to Diesel's ever capable hands."
I declared, watching as the man instantly perked up at the main reason he had been brought to us in the first place. After witnessing the horrors of Diesel's Division and their tactics, the man had instantly broken, become loose tongued and willing to expose every single one of the secrets he had managed to acquire.
Should his information be absolute crap, though, then I shall be the one to take him out. He will know not to f*****g mess with us.
"I will tell you everything. All the information I have acquired only if you promise to take care of my family. I know I have no right to ask this of you. I know my life is forfeit but please...they are the only thing that matters to me in this moment."
Diesel let out a long, loud laugh that instantly shifted to rage as he glared down at Fabio's unfaltering form. Christian looked up from his work, seeming genuinely stunned by the man as he watched him through an inscrutunable gaze.
Even in the face of the monsters before him, the man latched onto the strength that his family gave him. It was an uncommon, almost admirable sight that brought back some of my own memories that I thought long buried beneath all the blood and suffering.
"Leave us."
I simply ordered, my words received by instant action as every single one of the men within walked out and closed the door after them. It was an order that confused my brothers but they knew well enough that I was the more rationale one. No move I ever made was without reason. It was why Soren and I were as close as we were. We understood what needed to be done and how to do it.
"Please let me chop his tongue off and feed it to him. It is the only way for him to absolve himself of such a ridiculous f*****g statement."
Diesel declared, seeming genuinely incensed and I could not blame him. The sight before us was rousing unsettling emotions. Never had anyone dared to speak or face off against us the way that this man just did. Many begged for their lives, used excuse after excuse but Fabio was different. Fabio was ready to lay it all down for his family.
"Much as that sounds appealing, I do want to hear what he has to say. Your information is the crux that will either save or doom your family. Choose your words carefully."
I responded, earning a firm nod from the man. He seemed beyond confident despite the fear I could still see wedged deep within his gaze. Diesel's frown my way was noted but I could not care for my brother's proclivity to murder and destruction at the moment. My gut feeling was calling to me and I was f*****g listening for it was rarely, if ever, wrong.
"When I went to deliver information on the Division Six operations, I eavesdropped on something I shouldn't have. There is talk, serious talk, of a revolution against the Kings of Sin. The uprising has been a plan that has loong existed and they have finally acquired many of the pieces they need to take you down and it will be an attack that none of you will see coming. Strong, impenetrable alliances have been formed and the people you believe are on your side really aren't."
He released a sigh, seeming genuinely chilled by the very thought of what he heard and saw.
"Listen, I may not be a part of you anymore but I have and will always be loyal to the Sins. You deserve to rule the Underworld as you do. But there are many who don't believe that. Many who want your heads and they won't stop. Don't underestimate the Vipers. Look at every possible scenario and prepare yourselves for a war that will be as bloody as it is choke full of surprises."
It had done it again. My gut had ensured the safety of all those around me. His words had stunned each and every single one of us to silence. Fabio's confused looks were understandable as he watched each and every single one of us. We knew how to hide our emotions. We had done it too many times to count as is required in our world.
And especially when receiving information this important.
"I have done my part. I hope this ensures my family's safety. As for me, do as you must."
