The kingdom of Pirus is well known for its magnificent palace. But Frida’s favorite part of the castle was the enormous windows in the hallway that reflected the sunlight in different magical colors. However, today, her focus was on far more important things which robbed her of the joy to admire the shimmering lights as she and Hilda walked gracefully down the hallway. When they reached a large wooden black door, she and Hilda stopped in front of it as a guard bowed before her. Then he raised his head, banged the staff that he held in his hand against the tiles three different times, and shouted, “Her royal highness, Princess Frida, soon to be queen, and warrior of Pirus has arrived along with her maid, Hilda.” Afterward, the guard pushed the door open. He then stepped aside and bowed as Frida walked past him with Hilda by her side. “Long live the king! Long live the princess! And may the kingdom of Pirus flourish in their leadership!” Everyone in the hall shouted while they bowed to the king and then Frida. After singing their praises, the hall grew silent as everybody patiently waited for Frida to meet with her father. When she did, she slightly bowed and kissed his right hand to pay her respect to her king. Then he slowly wasted the wine in his cup onto the floor before grabbing Frida’s wrist and lifting her hand in the air with a pride smile on his lips. “Today my daughter becomes a woman!” The king shouted. “Yah!!” His people roared. “On this day she becomes our queen!” “Yeh!!” “And she shall bathe in the blood of our enemies as she chops the beast's head off, and prove that she is one of us!” “Yah! Yah! Yeh! The beast shall die!" Hiding behind Frida's calm eyes was fear as she watched her people chant and lifted their weapons in the air with great strength. “Long live the king! Long live the princess! And may the kingdom of Pirus flourish in their leadership!” They screamed. The confidence in her people's tone only heavy the burden she felt, and unknown to herself, Frida grabbed the handle of her sword and squeezed onto it to calm her heart. “Make me proud, daughter.” She heard her father say, and without any hesitation, Frida pulled her sword out and lifted it above her head. “Today I will become a true Pirus warrior, worthy of my title, and today, a dragon will lose its head with this sword!” She roared and the hall grew noise with her fellow warriors chanting the war song. After the ceremony was over, Frida was given a horse and dressed in a wool coat. Then she rode out of the gate of her kingdom and traveled with one destination on her mind. The mountain of Ramayana where the humans believe that the heavens meet the earth had a divine waterfall where mystical creatures visit to replenish their energy force which is their inner core, and among these beings are dragons. They frequently visit this place to bathe in the water, drawing the spiritual energy from it, and the humans know that which is why mountain Ramayana has become a place filled with tales about war and death between the dragons and mankind. However, the humans always had the upper hand because they knew that there's only one waterfall like this existing and the dragon desperately needs it since they keep coming to this same spot even though it has led to countless death of their species. That's why Frida found herself in the woods not far from mountain Ramayana after riding for hours. As she got off the horse, she could hear the sound of rushing water and the whisper of the wind. After tying her horse on a nearby tree, Frida reached for her bow, then she positioned the arrow before advancing to the waterfall. Her movement was so stiff that the dry leaves beneath her feet did not make a sound as she stepped upon them. However, Frida had the eyes of an eagle, noticing every detail of her surroundings. Once she had the waterfall in sight, Frida hid behind a huge tree, feeling prepared to attack. For a nation that hunter dragons often, Frida had been receiving training against her enemies since she was five. Even though she had never killed one, she knew exactly where her arrow was supposed to hit to bring a dragon down, and since they are weak when they are in the water, Frida knew that this was an easy task. After patiently waiting for some minutes, she detected the sound of wings flapping, causing the wind to intensify. Then she felt the ground shaken beneath her feet, and Frida squeezed her eyes shut for a moment as she took in a deep breath before raising her eyelids. After a few minutes went by, Frida exhaled and rushed from behind the tree. Then the moment her eyes rested on a terrifying red dragon, she released the arrow, and since it was created to penetrate anything, the arrow pierced through the dragon's left chest and got stuck in its core. The loud echo of its cry flowed into Frida’s ears, causing her to cover them with her hands as she watched such a majestic creature fall into the water and sink below. “Damn it!” Frida mumbled as she dropped her bow to the ground. Then she took off her shoes and her armor before rushing in the water, carrying her sword with her. When Frida returned to the surface of the water a few minutes later, she came out, holding a man with an arrow stuck in his chest while bleeding excessively from the wound. After dropping her sword to the ground, Frida laid him down beside it before sitting on the grass to catch her breath. For a moment she stared at his Viking-gold hair, then her eyes swayed downward to his titan’s shoulders before focusing on his defined cheekbones, his hawkish nose, and burly physique. Afterward, Frida stood up and head into the wood. Then she returned with her coat and carefully dressed him into it since he was naked. “They look like us. And all this time we were told that dragons are monsters that we must kill for the sake of the human race. What am I going to do?”
