I go down the stairs, careful so that I would not fall because of the darkness.
Once downstairs, I tiptoe my way into my father's office. I know it's wrong. I know I shouldn't do it, but I also know he's hiding something from me, and whatever it is in that safe, it must be important...
Every time I catch him looking through it, he immediately shuts the door once he notices my presence. If I try to ask him about it, he's always giving me the same excuse... 'You're too little.'
