After hours of bitter quietness and excruciating waiting, someone finally came out of the ICU.
Two nurses were bringing Ava to one of the rooms as she had been cleared out of danger.
Seeing the nurses, Damon rushed to them, asking about how everyone was doing.
He was glad Ava was okay, but couldn't show any excitement or joy.
As much as Damon wanted to be happy about Ava, Damon wasn't emotionally attached to her. Even though he was ashamed to admit it, if he could give Ava's life in exchange for Reyn's or Jason's, he would do it. But he can't, and Damon knows how much Ava means to Reyn, so he felt ashamed and disappointed in himself for even thinking of such a thing. The nurses didn't give Damon any update on Jason and Reyn's state.
