Kavira’s POV
“Vorian said we can head back to our rooms,” I told Maelira as I pressed the clear button on the emergency panel.
“That was strange. Must’ve been a small one for it to end so quickly,” she shrugged.
“I guess. Hopefully, no one’s hurt.”
Maelira opened the door to her room. “I’m going to check on the people at the hospital.”
“Okay, goodnight!” I waved as she disappeared down the hall. She returned the gesture before heading off, leaving me to walk toward the front door. My path led me straight back to the doctor’s office though every part of me bristled at the thought. The place had always unsettled me, and I couldn’t believe I was willingly returning.
