Kin handed a cup of coffee to Leonard then put a glass of orange juice on the table, in front of Layla’s chair, since she was in the bathroom and calmly sat down, he sipped his tea and relaxed his head, from the previous mess.

If you were wondering about the previous mess, I would like to remind you that Leonard called an ambulance and never called them back to tell them that everything was alright, so once they stepped out of the park, an ambulance was parked in front of them and medics were leaving the ambulance, ready to do their job, they were soon stopped by Leonard, who informed them that he was the caller and that his friend was alright now.

And when asked which friend, he pointed at Kin and they asked if they could check on him, to make sure he was absolutely alright and that was nothing wrong with him, he agreed and he went inside the ambulance, while Layla and Leonard waited outside for him, quietly as he asked them to be.

“Your heartbeats are abnormal, your skin is a bit cold, and is your skin pale by nature?”The paramedics were confused because it seemed as if Kin died and came back to life, his body was abnormal but he seemed to be alright, which was weirder.

“Not really, is there something wrong with me?”

“I don’t think so but check yourself in a hospital, just to be safe.”

“Okay, thank you.” Kin said then asked if he could leave, the medic nodded and told him to rest.

  Kin walked out of the ambulance to find Leonard sitting in a corner while Layla sat in another one, the two of them were far away from one another and didn't even look in each other’s direction, not even by accident, it wasn’t what he expected, he would have preferred if they were next to each other and talking but it’s better than them fighting.

When the two of them saw him, they rushed to his side and asked him if everything was okay, he affirmed that he was and told them that they should leave. “I am really tired.” Lin sighed loudly while they were walking and after hearing his words, Leonard offered that he carried him in his arms, he obviously refused but to his surprise, Layla supported the idea and pushed Leonard to do it.

  And two minutes later, he was hiding his face with his hands, while Leonard was walking down the street with Layla on his side, she was keeping an eye on him and warning him, and saying: “Just because I let you carry him, it doesn’t mean I accepted your existence in MY older brother's life and take that stupid smile off your face, it makes you look uglier.”

“You are just jealous.” Leonard’s smile grew larger, he held Kin’s body closer and tighter. At first, he held him because he felt a bit guilty for what happened, he was the one who got Kin out of the house and asked to meet up, he wanted to help, to keep his face in front of his conscience and Lucas if he asked about Kin, but after he saw Layla's reaction, he wanted to keep holding him and run away, to see what she would do. But that would be bad, Lucas would hunt him down and shoot him if he saw him, without even asking anything.

“I am not.” Layla turned her head away and started walking faster, to where her car was because she was going to take Kin home in it and not in Leonard's car as he suggested before; she wasn't going to let Kin in that monster's house. She opened the car and cleaned up the backseat, from some papers and clothes that were laying around, so that Kin can rest there.

  When Leonard arrived, she coldly asked him to put Kin in the backseat and then leave. “No!” Kin opposed strongly, he screamed and showed up his face, he looked up from Leonard's chest which made everyone turn to look at them and it made him more embarrassed. He glared at Leonard to put him down and since they were already in front of the car, he put him down like his eyes suggested, with a bit of disappointment. 

Kin, after being put down, told Layla to sit in front and Leonard in the back, he was going to drive them to their house, Layla refused and told him that she will drive, while he rested in the back and Leonard should sit in the front or in his own car, Kin in didn’t accept and claimed that if she does drive, she will fight with Leonard and get them in an accident, and if he goes in his own car....wait, he can go in his own car, there was no need to argue.

  After Leonard heard that, he nodded and went to his car, grabbed his pocket knife and slashed his tires, then got his most dramatic face on and rushed back to them, to inform them that his tired got slashed by someone, he needed a ride, poor him. And with that, the argument started again, while Leonard watched them with a smirk and enjoyed the drama, this was much better than anything he have done in the last week.

“Then I will sit next to you.” Leonard suggested with bright eyes, he looked at Kin and hoped that he would say yes, this would make Layla so jealous, unfortunately, but he was brutally rejected by both of them.

 “No!” They both screamed and gained the attention of a passerby, who weirdly looked at the group of three, only Leonard noticed it though, and tried to hide his face, since Layla was busy thinking about how close Leonard would get to Kin if they sit together, while Lin was thinking about it in another way, Layla had a small car, he can barely fit in the back and Leonard was huge, it would be so uncomfortable if they sat together.

“We won’t fight, trust me, I will erase him from my vision and focus on driving.” Layla tried to convince Kin to let her drive because there was no way she was letting Leonard that close to Kin, without her being able to watch them, but Kin refused and tried to explain again, so she stopped being nice and didn’t listen, only saying: “Leonard, be a gentleman for once and throw him in the back.”

After she said that, Kin’s eyes widened and he tried getting away, but Leonard got to him and lifted him, he threw him in the car while Layla sat down in the driver seat and turned on the car, Leonard closed the door and Layla locked the car, the idea of leaving Leonard there stranded, crossed her mind but she knew that Kin would be super angry at her if she did that, she waited for Leonard to get to the door, opened the door for him and then started moving after he put the seatbelt on.

“I hate you both.”

“Oh come on, I will buy your favorite pudding.” 

“Not enough.” Kin said and tried to negotiate, to get more things from Layla, because things that were free tasted so good.

“What can I do to make you smile?” Layla asked him straight up when the negotiation wasn't working out for her.

Kin thought of a strategy and smirked to himself, which still can be considered a smile, and said: “Hmm, I have something in mind but you will have to promise to do it no matter what it is.”

“Okay.” Layla replied immediately, without a second of delay, she didn’t care what Lin was going to ask from her but she would do it anyway (unless it’s related to Leonard).

“No hesitation, I like it.” Kin said, he smiled widely, his dimples in full display, the thing that Layla wanted and was happy to see.

“And I like you.” Layla said and smiled as well and turned around to blow him a kiss, with a small wink.

“Smooth. (like butter, like a criminal undercover, sorry I had to) Now focus on the road.” Kin said then sat back, he rested his back on the seat, while Layla looked at the front mirror, at him, and smiled fondly.

“I feel sorry for you.” Leonard suddenly said and looked at Layla with a bit of suspicion.

“Don’t and it’s not like that.” Layla replied, her cold eyes and stone smile being back, she knew what Leonard meant, he was saying that she liked Kin, which was not true at all, he was only a brother in her eyes, but for Lucas, it was different and talking about Leonard, she should call him and tell him about this.

“Yeah....right.” Leonard didn’t believe her and it was visible in his tone, which irritated Layla because she did not, she considered Kin as an older brother and she doesn't want that relationship to be tinted.

“Don’t make me throw you out of the window.” Layla threatened, she glared at Leonard while they were at a red light, Leonard only laughed, still being amused by her reactions. 

  “What are you two talking about?” kin suddenly asked, he heard Leonard’s laughter and thought that they were starting to get along, which was the total opposite of what was happening.

Layla didn’t respond, because she didn’t know how to, so Leonard covered for them and turned around with a flirtatious smile and said: "About how beautiful you are.”

“Cheeky bastard.” Layla muttered under her breath.

“Nice.” Kin said and small clapped for him and amazingly looked at Leonard, impressed with his ability to flirt. “A girl would totally fall for you if you said that to her.”

“But I don’t want a girl to fall for me, I want you to fall for me.” Leonard said, he stared at Lin with a serious look, which made it seem as if it was true.

“Haha, great joke.” Kin laughed nervously and avoided eye contact, he looked at Layla to save him but Layla didn’t do anything, she was staring at the front and thinking of ways to murder Leonard; since Layla didn’t seem to be interested in helping him, he looked at Leonard and hoped that he would just laugh it off and agree that it was a joke but unfortunately for him, he didn’t.

“I am not laughing.” Leonard continued staring at him, he poked a hole in the middle of his forehead, as Kin was unable to look away, being enchanted by Leonard’s deep black eyes.
