  That night, Layla apologized for her behavior and told him that she was just happy he said that he wanted to be with them, he forgave her for making him uncomfortable and told her to never do that again, Layla promised that she won’t and hugged him; they were in bed, with him in the middle, Layla on the right and Lucas on the left, they were both hugging him, with their heads on his chest and even though Kin had a muscular body, he still felt their weight and was unable to sleep until 3 am, which continued to happen in the next few days until he got used to it and decided to live with it, this was his life now; he had a 17-year-old and a 19-year old sleep, on his chest, every night, not the life he expected but it was okay.

  One certain morning, they were on the table having breakfast together, him and Lucas, when Layla stormed downstairs, like a storm, as usual, late to her classes, again as usual. She grabbed a piece of bread, that had jam on it, that Kin prepared for her and her bottle of juice and water, she was about to leave but saw Kin’s plate, which had crepes with banana and chocolate, so she told him to give her some and he did. “Chew your food, Layla, you are going to choke.” Lucas told Layla, who was eating with no rest.

She didn’t listen and ended choking on a piece of banana and since he expected this, he had a cup of water ready and gave it to Kin, to give to her, he gently patted her back and told her to drink water slowly.

“I don’t understand, why can’t you just wake up early?” Lucas asked as he was better than her, and by the way, he woke up fifteen minutes ago.

“You are in no place to judge Lu, we both know how hard it is for us both to wake up, anyway I have to go, bye, love you two.” Layla kissed Kin’s cheek, waved goodbye at Lucas, and quickly got her bag, her car keys, and her phone, and rushed to the door.

“Love you too, La.” Lucas said and laughed at his sister, for always being late but then he saw the clock and remembered that he had a meeting in the morning and shouted at Layla to wait for him.

“Okay, just hurry up!” Layla replied and Lucas ran to his room, to get his suitcase and shoes, while Kin went to the living room to get Lucas’s laptop, he left there yesterday and would surely need it in the office, proven by how franticly he ran downstairs and asked where his laptop was, Kin handed it to him, along with an apple.

  “Thank you.” Lucas and kissed Kin’s cheek, then ran off; while Kin held both of his cheeks and wondered if his role in this world was to be a mom because that was what he had been doing for the last few days; he was not allowed to leave the house, for them, he was still sick and should stay home.

  ‘This is boring.’ Kin thought to himself, as he stared at the ceiling and wondered about what he should do today; if it was the original Kin, he would have gone with Lucas to his workspace and then picked up Layla and went home with her, but he can’t do that, he can’t leave the house, he doesn’t have the keys and doesn’t know where he was exactly and his phone didn’t help either.

  Nothing seemed to be going to happen on this day and when he was about to start watching a new drama, the doorbell rang and he went to see who it was, only to find a man dressed in all black, who stared at him with a cheeky smile.

“Who might you be?” Kin asked and the man just stared at him, with an offended look on his face.

  “You don’t remember me? Me? The handsome me who came all the way here to check on you?” The man said when Kin kept looking at him with a serious face, he sighed and told him his name. “Leonard, I am Leonard, here.” He handed him flowers and a box of chocolate, then got inside the house and went to the living room, without being invited in.

  Kin didn’t say anything and walked inside, then said: “Thank you for the followers and the chocolate but why did you get inside? And what do you want? If it’s Lucas, he is in the office, and if it’s Layla when she is in class.” Kin took the flowers and the chocolate to the kitchen and put them down, then poured some juice to Leonard, because even though the latter was rude, he couldn’t be the same as him.

“I am here for you, I wanted to see you.” Leonard said and then grabbed the glass from Kin, and got comfortable on the couch, while Kin glared at him, he didn’t like the guy and would like it if he wasn’t in front of him.

  “You did, now leave.”

  “Why so grumpy? It’s not good for your pretty face.” Leonard said with a wink and Kin almost gagged.

  “That’s my business, now leave, I don’t want you here.” Kin said, he made it clear to Leonard that he wasn’t welcomed, so after he finished his juice, he asked Kin to walk to the door and the latter did with a lot of patience, which was slowly running out.

  When Leonard was at the door, he stopped before his foot could reach the ground outside of the house and asked Kin to go out with him for lunch, he claimed that his girlfriend just broke up with him and he made a reservation in a restaurant, with the dishes being already paid for and can’t cancel it; Kin knew that was a lie and even if it wasn’t, Leonard was rich, what difference would it make for him to lose a few hundred; he refused his offer and told him to pick a girl from the street, there was surely one, who would say yes to him.

“I insist.”

“No, I am not going.”

“Do you have something to do? We can move it to another day if you want.”

“No, I am just not comfortable going out with a complete stranger who bragged in someone’s home.”

“But I am not a stranger, just come.” Leonard grabbed Kin’s arm and because Kin wasn’t paying attention to Leonard’s hand, he was easily dragged away and the door closed, before he could realize and now, he was stuck outside, with the person, he hated the most.

  “I hate you.” Kin declared as he walked away in anger; Leonard followed him with a stupid smile and asked if they could go get lunch now, Kin didn’t answer and kept walking, with Leonard right behind him, asking the same question again and again, until Kin got tired of it and punched him in the stomach, ever so gently; he got him on the floor, with a cry, which made him smirk and continue on his walk, with a big smirk, until he realized he didn’t know where he was and he didn’t have his phone with him, where was Leonard again?
