Going Out With The Enemy For Pizza

  Kin looked to his side and behind him, he hoped he would be near and he was, Leonard was on the ground glaring at his back, Kin smiled and walked towards him and offered him a hand, Leonard just looked at him and took his hand, but instead of getting up, he pulled Kin down and got up instead, then laughed while Lin rolled his eyes at him, for his pettiness.

  After Kin got up, he asked Leonard where they were, the latter didn’t respond to his question and just said: “I am hungry and my memory is foggy, I think I will remember if I ate something.”

  Kin didn’t know why Leonard wanted to go out for a meal with him that badly, but since he had no way of knowing where he was or when the sibling pair would come or even drive past the place he was at the moment, he suggested that they go to a fast-food restaurant, or just a drive through. The rich billionaire, who had tacos for dinner the previous day, agreed and suggested that they go get pizzas and eat in his car, Kin thought about it for a second and shrugged, then started walking with Leonard towards his car, that was near the house.

  It was either sitting in front of the house and waiting or getting a free meal, what do you think he would choose? The meal of course, he was hungry and it was lunch time, he didn’t have money and was locked out of the house, what else would he do with an empty stomach?

  The road to the fast-food restaurant was rather long and silent, until Kin decided to ask Leonard how he found the house, because based on what Lucas said, nobody knew they were there, except their parents.

  “I have my ways, darling.”

  “Don’t call me that and what do you want to talk about with me?” Kin asked and got a look from Leonard who was impressed by Kin’s honesty and quick wit.

  “I want you to talk Lucas for me, I want him to be my business partner but he keeps refusing but I think he will agree if you talk to him.”

  “Why me and why do you want Lucas to be your business partner?” Kin curiously asked, because in the story, even though Leonard attempted a few times to get Lucas to work with him, it was never explained and Lucas never agreed to do it, no matter how many times he asked or what he offered, which got Leonard frustrated and angry, which lead to him being unfair and mean towards to Layla, but that's not our story, so let's move on from it.

  “To give you a simple explanation, Lucas is a smart and reliable person, and he also has resources and connections, plus he is a great guy and for why I chose you, he listens to you no matter what.” Leonard had been around Lucas long enough to know how important Kin was to him, he always put him first and was broken, when Kin was between death and life, that alone made him realize he can use that immense love and respect Lucas had for Kin, to his advantage. He waited for a couple of days, till Kin recovered to be able to talk to him and befriend him to try and convince him but it happened quicker than he expected, not that he doesn’t like it, the quicker Lucas became his partner the better it would be for his business.

  The subject intrigued Kin, it made him think of the possibility of having Leonard as an ally instead of an enemy, after all, Leonard was a powerful man and could help in many ways. “What I would get out of this?”

  “Lucas would become rich and powerful.” Leonard said and expected Kin to agree after a few minutes of thinking but he didn’t, he just stared at him and informed him that Lucas will be, without his help, maybe it would be faster but Lucas would get there on his own. “Then you can ask me anything.”

  “How original.” Kin said, as he closed his eyes and started thinking of things he could ask from Leonard, and three things came to him. “I have three demands.”

  “How original.” Leonard repeated the same thing Kin said with the same tone.

  “Shut up.” Kin said and Leonard just laughed and told him to tell him, his demands. “One, you help me find the one who attempted to kill Lucas and Layla, two, you will never ever date Layla or even attempt at flirting with her, stay away from her and never be in the same room with her by yourself, three, you will get me a job.”

  “Easy but one question, why do you want me to stay away from Layla? Do you like her? You know that's i****t, right?” Leonard joked. And something to note, nobody outside of their family knew that Kin was adopted, their parents lead everyone to think that he was their missing son, who was kidn*pped when he was a baby and everyone believed it, they had no reason not to because Kin looked similar to their parents, more than Layla and Lucas did, they all looked related actually and so nobody doubted that he was indeed their biological son.

  “I don’t want to hear that from you.” Kin said, already aware of Leonard’s dating record and the future, where he would date his cousin because she told him she liked him.

  “What do you mean? I never dated or liked someone from my family members and I never will.” Leonard said, unaware of what darkness the future held.

  “Sure, tell that to your future self or the book self you, anyway when are we getting to the pizza place, I am hungry.” Kin exclaimed, then saw that they were a few meters away from a pizza place.

  Leonard told him to order what he wanted and Kin didn’t hesitate to order whatever his heart desired, he almost ordered the whole menu but there were a few things he didn’t like on the menu so he didn’t order them. After getting their order, they went to a park nearby and Leonard parked in front of it, and they started eating, while having a casual conversation about the pizza and their favorite food.
