  It was cold and he could only feel pain around his body, did he fall from his bed or something? Lin opened his eyes and heard a crying voice next to him and felt severe pain in his stomach, he tried to get up but failed, he could only make a noise, that alerted the crying person and made her immediately lift her head, to look at her bodyguard, who she thought died protecting her because that was how it was supposed to happen, did it change?

Lin opened his eyes and looked around him in confusion, where was he? He didn’t get drunk yesterday, he went to sleep immediately after he finished that last pathetic chapter. Since he couldn’t recognize the place, he was in, he looked at the girl in front of him and asked: “Where am I? And who are you?” Lin asked with a sore throat, he stared at the woman’s face and was about to figure out who she was, when he shook his head inside his brain and confirmed that he doesn’t know her.

“Kin.......You are awake.” The woman wiped her tears and got up from her sitting position, she hugged him tightly and made sure that she wasn’t dreaming, she pinched herself and felt Kin’s warmth, the man who sacrificed his life for her and her brother in her last life.

“I don’t know you, please get off me.” Lin said, he gently pushed her away because of the immense pain he was currently feeling, both in his head and stomach.

“I won’t let you die this time, we will live, all three of us far away from him.” The woman promised him, she kissed his forehead and caressed his hair, she then went out to call a doctor, to check on Kin’s condition and make sure he was alright.

“What in the actual blue sky is happening?” Lin asked himself, as his head continued to pound and it got to the point, where he lost his consciousness because of it, actually not only because of it but also because a soul in heaven was calling for him.

 Lin opened his eyes again, to find himself in a black space with no lights, he couldn’t see anything and he thought that he woke up from his earlier dream and he was in another one; he saw a light coming his way and a man approached him; the man stopped right in front of him and before Lin could ask any questions, the man started talking.

“I am Kin, the owner of the body you are currently in, the woman you saw right now is the person I protect and like, Layla, Layla Yuen.” The man told him, while they were both floating in midair, which made Lin doubt that this was really happening and think that it was just a dream, he was going to forget when he wakes up.

  “Where did I hear that name before?” Lin closed his eyes and tried to remember where he heard that name before and just as he remembered, the man spoke again.

“In your favorite book, she is the villain’s sister and I am her bodyguard who died protecting her.” The man said, which made Lin realize who was in front of him, the strongest man alive in Love and War Under The Sky, he was even stronger than the ML and died an unfortunate death, because he was protected the villain and his sister from attempted murder, his name was...

“Kin Yaku?” Lin asked and widened his eyes and couldn’t believe what he was seeing, his second favorite character was right in front, he was seeing his face and not only reading the description of it with words!

“Yes, that’s me.” Kin nodded, he thought that Lin was starting to get the picture, when in fact it was the opposite.

“Oh, then this must be a dream.” Lin concluded on his own, he believed that something like this would never happen in real life, what is he? A girl in her early twenties going to another world and falling for a handsome and powerful man? Yeah, actually that was what was happening, the only difference being, he was a boy in his early twenties, who was going to steal a man from his harem of beautiful ladies.

“It’s not, I am here to ask you to stay in my body and to protect Lucas and Layla, the people who saved me from the darkness and believed in me. I know you want the same thing, to help them have a better life, that’s why I chose you to be in my body.”

“Can’t you do it yourself? If you can get me inside your body, why can’t you just squeeze yourself in it again?”

“Because my soul isn’t fit for my body anymore, I have to go. I had the chance to wish for something and my wish was to protect them but I can’t do that anymore, so I searched for the perfect soul and you were the chosen one, you cared for them and wanted them to be happy, also you are the only one I could summon.”

  “So, you didn’t choose me, you had to choose me? Well, that makes me feel so nonspecial now, I hate this dream now.” Lin said and turned his head away, and tried to wake up from the dream by pinching himself but it didn’t work and he was stuck listening to Kin’s story.

  After he had died, Kin became a soul, he floated around his body and saw the only people who cared about him, devastated because of him, they cried near his bed, when he was in the hospital and when his body was buried, they visited every day and cried, they wished for him to be back each time.

  Once he saw them in that state, he looked for a way to go to the heavens and ask to be reborn in his body again, he was denied again and again, until an angel took pity on him and decided to help him get another soul to be in his body, a soul he would choose and would be able to talk to, so they would do what he want them to.

  For his request to be asked by the gods, he had to start working for the heavens, for that angel who helped him, he accepted immediately and started looking for a good soul for his body, and since he was told, their story was a book in a certain world, he was able to find many candidates but only one stood out to him and that was Lin, Lin Joon; a soul who had a carefree spirit and nothing on their mind, and he was able to summon him.

  Lin was his only hope to being with Lucas and Layla in a way or another, through him, if he refuses, Kin will have to look for another soul, which will take millions of years and by that time, his world would disappear into dust.

“I get it, I will help but what will happen to my current body?” Lin asked, he didn’t want his current life to disappear in thin air, no matter how much he hated how boring his life was, he still liked it, he didn’t want to leave his family and friends behind, and the life he had been building up for 21 years.

“Nothing, all the time you are going to spend here will be just a night in your world, like a dream.” Kin was happy with Lin’s question, it meant that he was taking him seriously and that was helpful for his case.

“Yes! This is an awesome dream!” Lin still believed that this was a dream and nothing could change his mind, for now.

“I repeat this isn’t a dream.”

“But wait, you know you are a character in a book?”

“Yes, after my death, I was told I merely existed to serve the purpose of the start of my Lucas mental state but that will change now, because you are here, so please protect them and don’t let Lucas fall into the darkness.” Kin said and was about to request more from Lin, but his time was up and he had to go up again so he said what was on his mind at that moment. “I have to go now and please help Layla find her a better man if you can.”

“That was my plan all along.” Ever since he read the book, he imagined how it would be if he was in that world and pushed Layla away from that scum, to find her a better person who deserved her love and to make her relationship with Lucas much better, was his dream and guess this was one as well meeting Kin, his second favorite character.

“Thank you and I promise you will be rewarded for this, after all, you are getting your man in here.” Kin smirked, he already knew Lin’s soul was intertwined with a soul with his world, which actually made it easier to summon him, he was going to come to his world, one way or another.

“My man?” Lin asked, a bit confused on what Kin meant but he didn’t get a response, only a mere farewell.

“Goodbye.” The man disappeared and the entire place became white, he opened his eyes and looked at the white ceiling and walls, then glanced around, to find Layla and Lucas staring at him, the fun was going to begin.
