I Don’t Want To Be A Wife!

Kin was sitting in his office and reading the papers on the table, that Luna got him a few minutes ago, he needed to read, approve and sign them and he was in the process of doing so when he heard a knock, he didn't pick his head up and told the person to get in, it was the two actors. they walked in and the oldest introduced himself when he was Kin lifted his head and look at them.

“Hello, sir. I am Jamie.” A boy in his early twenties said with a smile on his face, glad to be able to see the man he was going to work under from now on.

“And I am Rei.” Another boy who looked to be at most 18 said with a bored expression on his face, he would have gathered reading a script of some play and recite it than see a man who doesn't give two sits about them and only cares about money, all of them do.

“Pleased to meet the both of you, please sit down. I called you here to do, to discuss your future with us.” Kin said and they both had an excited expression on their face, especially Rei, who screamed “Finally!” and hurried to sit down in front of Kin, to head what he had to say.

“Rei, respect.” Jamie glared at his friend and sat down beside him, they barely got their opportunity to start their career, after being homeless for three months, which was after running away from their homes, they can't lose this or else everything would be over for them.

“No, no, let him talk, do you have a problem with anything, Rei?” Kin asked and took out his notebook, to write anything he said and the younger did not hold back at all, he said what he had been thinking for weeks, probably a month now.

“A couple of things, we don’t have a manager, we don’t have coaches to teach us anything, nobody tells us anything and we have been here for weeks! I thought we would be at least taking lessons by this time, I want to be a good actor.” As much as Rei wanted to believe that he was a good actor, he simply wasn't, he accepted that fact a while ago but he thought that when would join an agency, they would work with him to better his acting or at least make it acceptable to be on TV shows until he gained more experience, but that didn't happen, of course, it didn't. What happened was, they paced around the company, found every corner, and known every worker, visited every restaurant around the area with the money the founder gave them, aka Leonard, the man who picked them up. (that sounds wrong and weird, oh well, I already wrote it.)

“We were recruited by the founder for our faces and not talent, and even though acting is not a passion of mine, I want to give it a try because I know it will make me closer to my true passion, singing, and dancing.” Unlike Rei, Jamie liked dancing and singing, and he was good at it, he wasn't that talented but he had a passion and was willing to work his way up to being a professional idol, and even if that meant taking a detour by being an actor.

Kin listened to them and tried to come up with what to say, and finally came up with: “I understand your frustration, but you also have to remember that the company just started, so things won’t be perfect for a couple of months, but for the coach, I will try to find one for each of you and look for some minor roles for you two so you can at least experience the atmosphere of being in a film or set, and Jamie, I will also try to get you a voice coach.” Kin wanted to help Jamie but he couldn't make that choice alone, he had to discuss it with Leonard and someone else, to see if they can afford it or have the resources to turn Jamie into a singer or dancer.

“Okay thank you, sir.” Jamie said with a huge smile, that could reach the sky, his dream was finally starting to seem like a reality, maybe it would be possible and he will be able to amount to something, unlike what his parents told him when he left their house.

They continued to discuss a few more things and an hour or two later, they talked about everything they needed and with that, the two got up to leave, to celebrate the start of the possible start of their career. They were at the door when Rei remembered something he and Jamie discusses last night and turned to ask Kin about it, to see if it was possible.

“Oh and, can we post things on our social media about the company and our work? That part wasn’t disclosed in the contract.” Rei knew the ower fo the internet and knew that with their faces, they could get a small following from a social media account without even starting to do anything, other than some practice videos or something.

Both of them were handsome, had a good body and okay personalities so if they tried to get a following, it wouldn’t that hard for them, they just needed to know what to post and what kind of audience to target, which in this case was young women.

“Of course, that would boost your popularity but be a bit careful on what you post, you don’t want to ruin your reputation before you even have one.” Kin didn't see an issue with it and agreed, because it wouldn’t harm them in any way or their road to fame, it would actually help them get there, without spending any amount of money, that was a win in Kin’s eyes.

“We will be sure to, thanks again Mr…….” Rei realized they don't know his name and Kin realized the same but because his brain was overworked since the morning when he wasn't prepared to do any work for the day, the name came out a bit messed up.

“Lin.” He said with a tired smile.

“Okay thank you, Mr.Lin.” They both said and left.

“Goodbye.” Kin said and closed his eyes, to try and relax a bit, until he remembered what he said and woke himself up. “Wait, my name is Kin, not Lin, I need to forget that name, I have to go correct them or this will cause problems.” He got up and left his office to try and find them, not realizing that it was just a name, not many would care. (and fun fact, my sister was so tired once, she forgot her name and had to think about it for five minutes to remember it, being tired is a weird thing)

He walked out of his office, only to find the two in front of Leonard and talking to him. He approached them and was able to hear the last sentence, that exposed him.

“We talked to Mr.Lin about our career and future." Jamie said with a cheerful voice, which was followed by Leonard's confused one.

“Lin? Who is Lin?”
