And since we were on the subject of the ML, let’s read a little backstory on him, at the age of twenty-six, Leonard Tuhi became one of the most successful businessmen in the whole country, his wealth reached billions of dollars and that was in under five years, which was a miracle on its own and that was only the start, his wealth kept growing and his heart became larger, and welcomed every girl who showed the littlest of interest in him, he had a girlfriend or a sugar baby every month, but one day, a new secretary was hired and she started changing him, her innocence, clumsiness, kindness, and smile made his world became colorful again and so to keep the colors present in his world, he broke up with all of his other girlfriends and stayed with her, but that’s still far away because that’s the ending of the story.

And of course, they lived happily ever after, unlike every secondary character that came in their way, like Layla, or any love interests that liked the secretary, like Lucas, who was killed by the person he liked, so really, they were the only happy ones in this story, but this time, he was going to change that, he was going to give Lucas and Layla their happy ending.

  “We are here.” Lucas said as he opened the door for Lin, who didn’t even notice the car stopped in a rural street, Layla got down from the car, thanked Lucas with a smile, and get out of the car.

He closed the door and looked around, for the house that might be theirs and he soon found out that it was a blue-sky house as Layla pointed out and walked to, he walked behind her and admired the place, the small garden and the bright colors of the house. Layla and Lucas opened the door and cheerfully said: “Welcome home!”

  He walked inside and scanned the person, while the sibling pair anxiously looked at him; “Do you like it?” Layla nervously asked and held her brother’s hand tightly, as they both hoped for the best.

“I love it! You did really good, Layla!” Lin said, he praised Layla's work, but forgot one thing doing so, that Layla, nor Lucas told him that, Layla herself designed it.

  “How did you know I designed it though? I didn’t say anything.” Layla asked, as both of her and Lucas stared at him and wondered why he changed after he woke up, did his near-death experience turn him into another person?

  “I want to go see the place upstairs!” Lin made up an excuse and ran up upstairs, a single thought in his head: ‘I have to come up with an excuse for them.’

 Later on, the rest of the day was slightly awkward, no one talked to the other person, and even at the dinner table, nobody talked until Kin decided to break the silence and said: “The food is delicious.”

  “We have been practicing.” Layla said with a wide smile, glad that Kin liked their food. They never knew how to cook before, but last year, on Kin’s birthday, when they baked him a cake and were depressed about burning half of it; he told them he loved it and would love to try their cooking next, and they were ecstatic to hear that and started practicing ever since.

  “Kin, can I tell you something?” Lucas asked, as he stood right beside Kin, who was washing the dishes, he asked them to let him do the dishes since he didn’t help with the cooking and they agreed after Lucas said that he was going to dry the dishes with him.

  Layla was in the bathroom taking a shower and they were alone in the kitchen, it was the perfect time to strike a conversation with Kin, about what he was going to do from now on.

  “What is it?”

  “I want you to stop acting like our bodyguard and to chase your dreams, I don’t want you to put your life in danger because of us, I will take care of Layla from now on and for myself as well, so please live your life.” This was Lucas’s way of pushing away Kin from danger, which was them, the biological children of a wealthy family, that had a lot of enemies.

  ‘But that’s why I am here, I can’t do that but I can’t tell him why, s**t, I need a lie.’ Kin was panicking in his head, while Lucas was staring at him and wondering why he haven’t said anything yet.

  “I actually use being a bodyguard as an excuse to be with you, I love you two a lot and I like spending time with you.” After he delivered the sappiest line he could ever think of, that he thought the original Kin would use, he heard a plate hit the floor and another thing hit the floor, a few steps away from them and when he looked, it was Layla with her towel on the floor.

  He immediately turned around and looked the other way, he expected her to go or at least pick up her towel, but she didn’t and Lucas didn’t even say anything, they both just hugged him from each side, Lucas’s arms around his neck while Layla’s arms were around his waist, while he uncomfortably stood there, with his eyes closed.

  “I am appreciating this and all, but this is weird, Layla please put on something.”

  “But I want to keep hugging you.” Layla said as she put her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes.

  “And I don’t want to be on an FBI black list, please put on something and come back to hug me.” Kin wanted to push her away but he was afraid he would touch her in an inappropriate way, so he just waited for her to move away with patience.

  When she didn’t move, Kin turned to look at Lucas and pleaded with him, in a whine to tell her to move. “Layla, go put on a shirt or else I won’t let you cuddle with Kin for a week.” Lucas threatened when he saw that Layla wasn’t moving at all, it was also starting to make him uncomfortable as well.

  “Not fair!” Layla shouted in frustration.

  “Layla.” Lucas said in 'I am serious' tone of voice, so Layla could only pout and let go of Kin, who finally let out a breath of relief, she took her towel and put it back on, then dragged Lucas away, she claimed that he couldn’t have Kin on his own, which Kin actually liked, he needed to reconsider his life choices and he doesn’t like company when he does that, he preferred to be alone and able to freak out with no one judging him for it.
