To Take Care Of Them In His Way

“Oooooh, that could work.” Lin smirked, he liked the idea and didn’t have the slightest guess that it would go wrong, he didn’t consider that Kin meant it as sibling or friends or love, nope, it was romantic love and Lucas was going to be the brother in law who helped his sister’s husband to win her affection, it played perfectly inside his head and only inside his head. 

  “How are they by the way? My two little angels.” Kin asked with a nervous smile, he was eager to know how they were doing. He spent the last month, with them in his head, they motivated him to keep going, when things weren't well in the sky; he was new and was a human before, so most of the angles and workers in heaven disliked him for that, but he didn't care because he wasn't working for them.

  “Angels? You mean Lucas and Layla, well, they are good, I am trying to teach them to be less obsessed with me.” Lin wasn't sure about the fact of the two of them being angels, more like wolves in sheep's clothing.

  “What do you mean?” Kin asked confused, what did he mean by obsessed? His siblings weren't obsessed, they loved him as anyone would love their brother or sister; he never saw anything wrong with their relationship, maybe it was due to the fact that he never met other people with siblings, his only friend was an only child and he didn't socialize much so he thought everyone was the same as them.

  “I don’t know if you noticed this but they love me, no you, they love you way too much and I am not comfortable with that, so I told them.” Lin liked the love but it was exhausting to try and keep up with them and he wasn't going to hide that from Kin, he was honest and would always be.

  “But why? I have always been close to the two of them and it’s normal to be close to your siblings.” In his eyes, they were a perfect family, that behaved like anyone else in the world, except maybe the absent parents, he was the parent to his little angels so they might be closer to each other than normal siblings, but by just a tiny degree, he saw dramas and siblings were either like them or hated each other, so they were on one end of the spectrum and it was the good side.

  “Not to that degree, I have siblings but I don’t shower with them, I don’t sleep with them, I don’t kiss them every single morning, I don’t stop them from meeting other people. Every family is different I know but I can’t do that, I can’t be you, I can take care of them in my own way but I can’t do it the same way you did, I am sorry.” Lin tried but he couldn't and he wasn't going to live an uncomfortable life and pretend he was someone else, to please them, if he had to do something, he was going to do it on his own account.

  "I.....I understand, I am not going to ask too much from you, just be there for them." Kin only wanted them to be able to live happily with 'him', through Lin and he didn't care what way that would be, if he could ask about them and see them through Lin's eyes then he was satisfied.

  "I will, thank you for understanding, I will take good care of them." Lin promised and Kin thanked him for it, and when he was about to ask him about something else, he heard a voice in his head telling him to come back.

  “They are calling for me, I need to send you back now.” Kin couldn’t pass half an hour with Lin, his job didn’t let him, only twenty minutes passed but they were already calling for him to hurry up and come back.

  “Can we meet again?” Lin felt comfortable talking with Kin, he was the same as talking with an older brother he never had, it was calming and it made him relax as if all his problems were nothing.

  “We can meet once every month or two, it will happen randomly, like now.” Kin informed him like he was some time ago when he asked if he can meet Lin and talk to him about his experience in the world.

  “Why? What if I am in the middle of something and my soul just leaves my body.” Lin thought of the possibility of being in the shower and suddenly fainted, like he supposedly was right now, or what if he was driving a car and he collapsed or what if he was in the middle of a fight and he collapsed, that would go wrong, and side note, it will.

“I only get a break every month or two, it’s the only time I can meet you and ask you about them.” Kin didn't have much of a choice, originally he didn't have a break and he had to beg for it for weeks to get it, and he only got it because he promised to work harder and longer, that was the only way he was able to convince the head angel to let him off for half an hour every month or two.

  "I understand, I will be more ready next time and make a list of what was going on with Lucas and Layla."

  "Really? Thank you so much!" Kin wanted to hug Lin badly but neither of them had a body so he couldn't and only smiled widely to show his appreciation. The voices were calling again and they were louder this time, he had to go, or else he won't get another break, he informed Lin that he had to go before they get any angrier, Lin nodded in understatement and bid his goodbye, and told Kin to take care of himself and not push himself too much; Kin looked away and told him he would try and also said to take care of himself and enjoy his life with Lucas and Layla, and Leonard too.

  And with that, Lin was sent back to the world, only to regret opening his eyes because of the two leads who were screaming right in front of him, can he go back to Kin again? Things were more peaceful and calm up there, much better than the chaos those two were creating in this beautiful.
