It was the year of 2008, on the evening of January 3rd, only a few days after the year of 2007 had ended, my little sister and I decided to play with our new things we had gotten from christmas. As our oldest sister had left to go venture to her friend's house. We were slightly bored out of our minds. My younger sister and I sat as well watching our parents get ready to leave to their friends' house down in south Plymouth. We denied on joining them as we got older it just wasn't fun, watching the grown ups drink and get loud while they talked over one another as a few hours turned into many and we didn't want to go to bed late we had school the next day especially me starting a new school, I was scared but excited I suppose. Later about an hour or so after they had left my sister started to play music as we jammed out to it. She turned it down and said "hey you want to write a song together?" I didn't hesitate as I went and grabbed my guitar. About a half hour went by and we had decided on a song title together we called it this isn't a dream anymore. It went something like this "This ain't a dream anymore this is reality Getting one step closer ma you can't be holding me I was a baby the last couple of years got my heart broken And I fell into tears This ain't a dream anymore But this is reality you can't be showing me The things that are shown, unknown This ain't a dream This is reality" After that about a few minutes of writing our song a bit of silence took over. And she looked at me and said she wanted to talk about wanting to find our mother who had given us up when we were little, how she was upset, wondering how anyone could just give up on their children, how she was upset that she wasn't old enough to file a paper to search for them. I told her I would do it for her as soon as I turned old enough later that year as I reassured her that one day I'd take her to meet them. As a smile grew upon her face, she quickly stuck out her pinky and made me promise, no actually She demanded I stick my pinky out as well, and I stuck out pinky promised her back *promise I said.
