They beeped the horn from outside, and I grabbed my bag and headed out to the car. Sliding into the backseat with a heavy sigh, I shut the door behind me.
“Hey Harp,” I ask quietly, “Can I stay with you tonight? Or maybe… maybe you could stay at the villa with me and Salem? It’s been hard to get used to the security team without Dom around. Him not being there every other day - it’s just… it’s a lot.”
Harper turns in her seat to look at me, her expression softening into a gentle smile. “Yeah,” she says, “I’ll stay with you and Salem. Being in the villa will help more than you think.”
Relief floods through me, and I nod. I didn’t want to be alone right now - everything just felt like too much.
When we pulled up to the hospital, we made our way inside and headed straight for Dom’s room.
