I called in our order for the Chinese food, asking them to deliver it straight to the house. It wasn’t much, but I wanted to do something nice for Asher after everything she’d been through. I knew she believed wholeheartedly that what happened was just an accident, but she didn’t know that the day I confronted Andrew, he reeked of alcohol. He’d been slipping down a darker path for a while - long before his fate finally caught up to him.
