Third Person P.o.v.
Asher quietly ascended the stairs to her bedroom, her footsteps soft against the hardwood floor. Once inside, she gently closed the door, turned the lock, and leaned against it for a moment. A sigh slipped from her lips, low and weary, as she fought back the stinging pressure behind her eyes. She refused to cry again - at least not yet.
She moved toward the adjoining bathroom and stepped inside, turning on the tub faucet. She adjusted the temperature until the water steamed, then placed the plug in the drain, letting the tub begin to fill. As the room warmed with rising steam, she slowly undressed, peeling off her clothes piece by piece with an air of exhausted detachment.
Naked, she stepped into the tub and lowered herself into the hot water, letting it envelop her.
