As we exit the building, Leon instructs a group of men to go up and collect the things we gathered. “Well, Miss Evans, if you’d like, we can come back and help you again tomorrow?” Dominic asks as we approach the parking area.
I smiled gratefully. “That would be nice, Mr. Dominic, and very much appreciated,” I reply.
He nods before turning to Leon. “Let’s get out of here then, Leon. I have some paperwork I need to grab from the office,” he says before heading to their car.
Harper and I turn toward hers, sliding in as she starts the engine. I exhaled deeply, feeling the weight of the day lift slightly. Today had been a complete shitshow, and I was more than ready to get back to Harper’s place and unwind.
