I smiled at myself as I watched the local news report on the television in mine and Andrew's apartment. The anchor’s voice was steady, calm - completely unaware of how earth-shattering the story was to those involved.
A car accident. Three hours ago. One fatality. One is in critical condition. Two with non-life-threatening injuries. No names have been released yet.
But I think that I knew. I believe I knew who died.
I couldn’t help the small, satisfied chuckle that escaped my lips. Truthfully, I had no remorse for anyone involved with Asher Evans - except for Dominic Wolfe...
The reporter said they’d keep the public updated with more details, but they didn’t need to. I already had all the confirmation I needed.
Just as the report ended, my phone buzzed on the table.
