"You fooled me!" Sarah spat out each word with all the bitterness overflowing inside her. Her blue eyes were drowning in anger, her chest was heaving up and down rapidly and her jaws were clenched down on her cheeks as she stared at the woman before her. "I trusted you!"
Sarah knew that Alexis wasn't an easy one to provoke to guilt but she at least expected her to offer an apology...even if it wasn't genuine. The funny thing was though, Alexis didn't look the least bit guilty. Her hand was digging into her hips as she leaned her weight on her right foot while the other hand was holding a tray filled with fruits. With an unnerving smile on her lips, she outstretched it to Sarah and rose her brow when Sarah only stared down at it without making any move to take it.
